During my first year in law school, I casually told my classmate, Ma'am Geraldine, one of the reasons why I want to be a lawyer....
She smiled at me when I told her, "When I will be a lawyer, I wanted to be a guest speaker in a graduation exercises of my alma mater"... She could have thought it a joke, because that dream was so simple and not one that would spark an interest. Yah, I thought too, that what I dreamt of doing is insignificant....
Years passed by but my mind was still bugged by my somewhat silly statement. Yet, I realized that when I uttered those words, it meant a lot to me. I wanted to talk before the graduates and inspire them with my life's experiences and struggles.
My secret dream became a reality yesterday. I did deliver my Commencement Speech in the graduation exercises of my alma mater. I felt so happy! I hope that I was able to touch young hearts towards the right track and make them dream big and pursue their dreams no matter what....
